Do you take insurance?

I only accept Aetna. If you have a different insurance, you may contact your insurance company to determine if you are eligible for full or partial reimbursement for out-of-network coverage. If you do have this benefit, you will have to submit the invoices from our sessions to your insurance company.

What is your cancelation policy?

Cancelation requires at least 48 hours notice via phone, or email. Missed appointments will incur the full session fee.

Do you provide medication or therapy?

I provide both. My approach is behavioral. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Short Dynamic Psychotherapy and Motivational Interviewing. I will help you set goals for a life worth living. I will work with you to find the best combination of medication with the lowest effective dose and the best side effect profile.

What about sex therapy?

I completed my certification in sex therapy at the Sex Therapy Certificate Program at the University of Michigan. I am working with non-monogamy/polyamory, BDSM/Kink, relationship issues, sex therapy, sex work and trauma issues. I prefer not to prescribe medication for my sex therapy patients.

How frequent are the sessions?

For medication management the sessions are every one to 3 months, but can be more frequent as needed at the beginning of treatment.
For psychotherapy and sex therapy sessions the treatment can be weekly, or every 2 weeks.

What if I already have a therapist?

Collaborative treatment is the best approach. Your therapist and I will work closely together with you to make the best treatment plan.
